Job description
The Catering department at Robinson College is seeking to appoint a full time Food and Beverage Assistant to join our Food Service Team. The College offers hot & cold beverages, meals and snacks to staff, students and visitors. You will assist in preparing, serving and clearing in our assisted servery operation. As part of the Catering department you may be required to work in other operational areas as business demands.
You will work over a 7 day working week as per the rota set by your line manager. The shifts will usually be rostered for 5 days per week. Flexible working will be required.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and customer focused team working to deliver excellent service to students, conference guests and visitors of Robinson College.
Our Garden Restaurant operates 7 days a weeks from 8.00am to 7.00 pm and the role will involve working both 7.30 am – 3 pm (early) and 11.30 am – 7.30 pm (late) shifts. There is also a need to cover the Café Bar on occasions which is open from 9.30 am to 11.00 pm.
Applicants must be flexible in their approach to both customers and the hours of work required to meet the demands of this varied and interesting position. Good communication skills are essential. Previous experience of a restaurant/café/bar environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
