Job description
Main Responsibilities
· To carry out the set up of the restaurant including crockery, cutlery, linen, glassware, appearance and presentation of the bar ready for service
· To deal with guests orders, preparation and running of drinks/food.
· To identify market trends, needs, survey competition, participate in public relations and other promotional activities designed to enhance the image and profitability of the Hotel facilities.
· To assist with the control wastage and breakages, documenting these and reporting these to the F&B Manager or delegate.
· To ensure that all menus and promotional material displayed in the Restaurants are up to date and accurate at all times.
· To cash up, reconcile takings and explain any discrepancies.
· To be fully aware of the content of the current restaurant and bar menus.
· To assist with conference and banqueting events held in the Restaurant and Bars, ensuring the smooth set up, operation and set down.
· To ensure any complaints are reported to the F&B Manager for his information.
· To observe any restrictions as per our license.
· To attend department meetings when scheduled.
· To oversee the equipment within the bar, ensuring that any faults are reported to the F&B Manager immediately.
· To actively participate in the increase of sales through upselling on menu items.
· To familiarise oneself and adhere to the Weights & Measures Act (most recent).
· To familiarise oneself and adhere to the Public Entertainment Licence.
· To carry out any reasonable request by the F&B Manager, Hotel Manager or Directors of the Company.
· To assist with other Hotels or affiliated business when required.

-Hotel facilities and opportunities to promote these to customers
-Short and long term Hotel sales and marketing promotions

-To attend all fire, heath and safety, training as requested.
To work in a safe manner at all times, to ensure personal safety and the safety of colleagues and visitors to the hotel and report anything that may jeopardise safety to your Manager upon discovery including the actions of fellow colleagues.
To report for duty on time and on the days roistered.
To be familiar with and work to the stated standards both as an individual and a member of the Hotel team to achieve the Hotel Mission Statement.
Job Type: Zero hours contract
Salary: £10.00-£10.50 per hour
