Orton Hall Hotel is a beautiful country House set in 20 acres of parkland on the outskirts of the wonderful city of Peterborough.
With an award winning restaurant, an on site pub, Spa and leisure club, we are able to offer everything that the discerning travel wants and needs and we do this with style, quality and a sense of fun and pride.
You will need to be available to work late shifts and weekends.
This is a permanent vacancy therefore unfortunately we are not looking for summer workers
We are looking to serve, fresh local food in a professional but relaxed manner.
These are the accountabilities that we judge our team on
Target: To attend work as rostered in a timely and presentable manner
· Be aware of weekly rotas
· To know expected standards of uniform
· To understand procedures for rota and holiday required
Target: To assist in service delivery during your shift whilst maintaining operational standards
· Being aware of expected customer arrival times and necessary cover
· To serve on the bar or at the table as part of the operations team
· Assisting with both opening and closing procedures
· Ensure customer feedback is positive and promotes further business
· Monitoring and maintaining laundry levels to ensure that sufficient stocks are available
Target: To comply with all departmental and company standards
· Carry out duties in department as directed by supervisors
· To be aware of and achieve company standards
· To be aware of departmental costs and minimise as far as possible
Target: To provide a health, secure and safe place for both customers and colleagues and comply with all local and legal laws
· Keeping up-to-date with all relevant legislation
· Be aware of all legal notices displayed in the workplace
· To keep a diligent approach to Health and safety
· To report all near misses and Health and safety issues to line managers.
· To be aware of and adhere to all Health and safety requirements
Target: To acknowledge all guests and look to show them the WOW
· Attend and engage with all company training
· To volunteer feedback to your HOD and help in making the department the best it can be.
· To speak to all guests and understand individual requirements
Target: To be current and comply with all necessary and relevant legal requirements
· Keeping up to date with all relevant legislation
· All legal and company notices displayed
· Review of all national and local requirements
· Attending required legal trainings
· Holding necessary licenses

Salary: £10.42 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Peterborough PE2 7DN: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Catering: 1 year (preferred)
- Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Bartending: 1 year (preferred)
