About the opportunity:
We are recruiting Hydraulic Modellers and Hydrologists across all grades to join our engaging, multi-disciplinary teams to help deliver our extensive flood risk management programme of works and, to develop our innovative solutions and products. This includes the development of Flood Modeller, the #1 flood modelling solution.
Our project portfolio spans the full project lifecycle from feasibility studies through appraisal and optioneering to detailed design and site support, providing a wide range of opportunities to develop your experience and advance your career.
Our projects cover all aspects of modelling and hydrology, including flood risk, reservoir safety and design, water resources, coastal, fluvial and urban flooding using all industry tools (Flood Modeller, Tuflow, InfoWorks, Mike, CFD, FEH). Here’s What You’ll Need:
We are looking for enthusiastic problem solvers who will enjoy working as part of a large multi-disciplinary team in flood risk management. You will need an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Geography or a similar/relevant discipline and excellent analytical and numeracy skills.
Commensurate with the desired grade, you will have knowledge, skills, and experience in some or all of the following areas:
- Undertaking, leading and/or directing Hydraulic modelling using industry standard software (Flood Modeller, Tuflow, Innovyze products, HEC-RAS).
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team within a consultancy to develop integrated solutions for flood risk management, or other applications.
- Use of GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS and/or MapInfo).
- Undertaking, leading and/or directing hydrological assessments including FEH and ReFH.
- Clearly communicating technical information and project implications within a multidisciplinary team and with clients.
- Overcoming technical and project related challenges.
