Job description
We are now recruiting for a Fleet Workshop Assistant at Norwich Workshop.

Salary: Starting salary of £22,878 per annum (£438.45 per week), A weekend supplement for Saturday (£35 per attendance) shift attendance is applicable. Saturday working will be required on a rotational basis once every 3 weeks.
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Full time - 39.5 hours per week
39.5 Full time rotating 3 week shift pattern week 1: between 06:00 - 14:30, week 2: between 07:30 - 16:00 and week 3: between 10:30 - 20:00.

The Role
As a key member of the Fleet Workshop Team, you will be responsible for the delivery of several tasks including tyre maintenance (re-grooving, fitting, inflation & balancing), the completion of basic repairs such as the replacement of lamps and bulbs, mirrors and wiper blades, plus other general maintenance tasks such as fluid top ups, pressure washing the underside of vehicles, loading and unloading of test weights etc…
Holding a full driving licence (LGV preferred) you will also ferry vehicles to and from customer premises.
Whilst full training will be provided, successful candidates should have previous experience of manual working, using both their hands and tools to complete tasks with a logical approach. There is the opportunity to achieve accreditation/qualification for compliance testing as part of your development
