The role


We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Fleet Manager in Camden, London.

This role is responsible for ensuring One Housing Group’s vehicle fleet is managed and maintained in such a manner as to support operations in the most efficient way possible and ensuring compliance with H&S and procurement process. This role will be central to supporting the amalgamation of fleet for colleagues Tupe transferring into One Housing.

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
Location: Hybrid. 3 days in the Camden office, 2 at home

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordination, administering and monitoring the maintenance, repair, replacement and logistics of company vehicles.
  • Conducting analysis of vehicle status and make recommendations for timely replacement, including type of vehicles, spares etc. in order to improve cost-efficiency
  • Reviewing current needs and identify new systems and process to ensure a better utilisation of the fleet and provide value for money
  • Creating business cases
  • Project and contract management
  • Providing recommendations for lowering vehicle-operating expenses and reduce idle time of vehicles and work closely with the operations team to find ways to reduce downtime due to repairs or lack of routine maintenance.
  • Working in collaboration with finance on budget plans, and helping to implement policies and procedures to help with better identification of costs.

What you will need to succeed


We are looking for someone who believes in working together as part of a team, who shares our values and is friendly and positive. The successful candidate will:

  • Possess experience working in the following sectors within a Fleet Management role; Housing, Local Authority, Property Maintenance and/or a Repairs/Maintenance contractor.
  • Understanding of vehicle systems and technology
  • Experience of line management
  • Be able to write competent business cases and prepare reports and present to senior management team.
  • Hold a good understanding of Health and Safety with the ability to support/coach the wider team in their knowledge
  • Be knowledgeable around project and contract management, and able to contribute to continuous improvement process.
  • Possess a full driving license
