Job description
This position will support the business intelligence and analytics function for the Surrey Heartlands footprint. The role will need to work jointly across the integrated care system and partners. The ICS aims to identify and forecast risks to health and provide evidence-based research on how they can be prevented or dealt with efficiently and effectively to avoid preventable differences and variations in people’s experiences of services, life chances and outcomes.
The post holder will lead upon robust and effective data sourcing, data analysis, and delivery of coherent reports to stakeholders within the Surrey Heartlands ICB footprint. This work will look to combine outputs of datasets from across a range of stakeholders (at times needing to work with partner organisations to source these directly as required) to produce data report outputs that are easily understood and can be used to build commissioning decisions upon.
- Work with partners involved in commissioning and delivering services to understand how data can come together and support decision making, service design and provide an understanding of delivery.
- Lead on the development, promotion, and delivery of highly complex (and sometimes sensitive) health and care information.
- Present reports to executive directors, senior managers, and other staff within partner organisations across Surrey Heartlands ICB.
- Maintain and develop partnerships and networks across Surrey Heartlands ICB and external organisations.
- Keep abreast with developments and innovations for the provision of information and insights.
- Develop and maintain data capture and reporting systems for data arising from the needs of Surrey Heartlands ICB and those required for statutory returns.
- Provision of intelligence and insight to support the evidence base for population health management and the provision of statistical and epidemiological models related to this.
- Support other information analysts within the team.
- Provision of intelligence and insights along with advice in support of managing programmes including budgets and resources to ensure effective and efficient use of resources and finances.

The job involves a high level of concentration, working at a VDU daily, handling large data sets and undertaking detailed statistical analysis using appropriate software and producing reports.
