About the role
We are looking for an operational Airfield & Structural Firefighter to DSA ARFF/ MAA/CAA and NOS standards. You will attend emergency and other incidents and carrying out duties as detailed in Fire Section Orders, in order to provide Boscombe Down with the highest possible standards in Fire & Rescue Services and Fire Safety.
What I will be doing.
The Firefighter will inform and educate your community to improve awareness of safety matters.
You will take responsibility for effective performance.
The Firefighter will save and preserve endangered life.
You will resolve operational incidents.
The Firefighter will protect the environment from the effects of hazardous materials.
What do I need?
You must be trained in aviation or MOD Firefighting.
The Firefighter should be a capable Public Speaker, ability to deliver Fire Safety Briefs.
You will be invited to attend an assessment day which will include Psychometric, Fitness and Practical tests.
If Successful, you will then be invited to attend an interview at a later date. Prior to any offer of employment, candidates will be required to pass a Firefighter medical.
Please note that all applicants must be eligible for SC clearance as a minimum.
