Job description
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to lead the delivery of fire safety advice to a NHS Trust covering County Durham and Darlington. As part of the Trusts Health & Safety and Security (HSS) team and working alongside Estates teams throughout the Trust, you will be responsible for delivering all practical elements of the Trusts fire management strategy and engaging with all key stakeholders to ensure fire safety is high on the operational agenda. In addition to this you will oversee, co-ordinate and help to deliver all training activity required to ensure the Trust are compliant.
As Duty Holder for fire safety you will ensure the Trust meets all the legal requirements placed upon it under the Fire Regulatory Reform Order and Health Technical Memorandums [HTMs], escalating any deficits you may find to senior management, and put standards in place as a reference for all staff. You will ensure effective management systems are in place, as well as audit and oversee corrective actions
