Purpose of the Role
To Improve the Competence of Fire Safety and Passive Fire installations across the business
To manage a team that delivers high quality passive fire protection installations, using both a cards in workforce and with sub-contractors
To be the Company representative on Fire Safety Issues and be up to date with Legislation and Building Regulations
To have knowledge of the building safety bill
Responsibilities and Duties
To ensure the team has the adequate skills and resource to undertake their duties
Provide technical support and have problem solving capabilities
Raise the awareness of Fire Safety and Passive Fire installations within the business
Provide a hands on role of BM Trada Fire Door Installer and Fire stopper when required
Ensure the Company has Compliant audits and a culture of continuous improvement
Ensure that the company has adequate systems and I.T Capability to perform the role and achieve the Golden Thread
Assist the Commercial and Production teams when arriving at specifications and scope of works
Work with Architects, Building Control, HSE, Fire Engineers, Clients, Designers, Subcontractors and Manufacturers to achieve compliant solutions

Qualifications and Skills
Be Capable of managing people and getting the best from them
Be an Approved BM Trada Installer
Have high attention to detail and capable of identifying and mitigating risks
Be experienced in writing reports, chairing meetings and writing minutes
Be a self-starter capable of working on your own or as part of a team
Hold a relevant Construction or Health and Safety qualification to at least NVQ 4 Standard
Have a full UK driving licence
Be competent in the use of the Microsoft Office suite
Hours of Work
You will be required to work 39 hours per week
This role is based in the North West and for most of the time will be from the Head office, however visits to site and any other location generally in the North West will be required
Office hours are
- 08:00 and 17.00 (Mon-Thurs)
- 08:00 and 16.00 (Fri)
Which includes a 1-hour break for lunch
