Finds Liaison Assistants:
Contract:
1 position is full time (FLA for Worcestershire and Warwickshire)
1 position is part-time (Treasure FLA),
Both roles are fixed term until March 2024
Salary: £21,480 per annum (Full Time) / £17,184 per annum (Part Time - 29.6 hours)
We are currently recruiting for two Finds Liaison Assistants (FLA) working as part of the West Midlands Portable Antiquities Scheme.
Working alongside the Finds Liaison Officers (FLOs) who cover the West Midlands region one of the successful candidates will be based at Worcestershire County Museum, Hartlebury Castle and one will be based at the Museum Collections Centre, Birmingham. You will also have the opportunity to work across a range of other sites, as well as the option to work from home for part of the week.
You will be working to support the FLOs in their daily tasks, build upon experience in small finds identification and recording, and have the opportunity to support outreach activities, talks and presentations.
The FLA located at the Museum Collections Centre in Birmingham will be focussing specifically on the identification and processing of Treasure cases.
The Finds Liaison Assistant role is full time working Monday to Friday with the possibility of occasional weekend working; and the Treasure Finds Liaison Assistant role is part time (29.6 hours per week)
