Job Description
What you’ll do:
Business & Commercial Banking (“BCB”) and Corporate & Institutional Banking (“CIB”) Help Britain Prosper by providing a wide range of channels and expertise that supports our customers. We demonstrate this through our commitment to maintaining a high-performance culture, driving efficiency, taking considered risks delivering a first class customer service.
You’ll work in one of our Delivery teams, supporting commercial clients with their banking needs through your role, working within and alongside teams such as:
  • Everyday Banking
  • Banking Lifecycle Services
  • Planning and Performance Hub
  • Payments Operations

About the programme:
Starting in September 2023, we’ll support your study towards a Level 6 – Financial Services Professional apprenticeship. This apprenticeship programme will last for 36 months, during which time you'll gain a degree level qualification - the Chartered Banker Advanced Diploma in Banking and Leadership in a digital age.
Whilst on the Apprenticeship scheme 20% of your time will be dedicated to ‘mandatory apprenticeship hours’, which can include attending workshops, shadowing, reading, completing assignments etc. This means 80% of your role is applying your learning in the workplace, in a safe environment.
Please note – you’ll be based in the location listed on this vacancy and will be expected to be ‘on-site’ in the office as and when required by the business. Additional travel may also be required as part of this role.
What you’ll have:
We expect you to be motivated, ambitious and committed to your own development. In particular, you’ll be keen to get to grips with financial systems and processes.
The minimum qualifications required are:
  • Minimum 5 National 5 qualifications at Grades 1 – 3 or equivalent (including Maths and English) AND
  • At least one Higher Grade or equivalent by September 2023
Please note - these can include predicted grades.
