Financial Reporting Analyst - Graduate/ Entry Level - International Banking


Excellent opportunity for a Graduate/ Newly Graduated individual with Numerical skills and high ambitions to join a leading International Bank. You will get the chance to assist with financial reporting to the group and all related matters and the production of statutory financial accounts for the PLC and the small subsidiaries. The incumbent will assist with various tasks, as needed from both regulatory and financial units, on performing financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking. Project assistance will be needed on ongoing initiatives, on supporting the project lead on daily activities or as required.


Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities


  • To assist in the preparation of the regular financial reporting of the London Bank.
  • Help on Group Financial Reporting Pack (GFRP) for PLC.
  • Contribute to the accounts management for all London-controlled subsidiaries.
  • To ensure that accurate and prompt reports are made to all supervisory bodies and that full compliance is made with all statistical and financial reporting (FINREP) requirements.
  • Assist with the financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
  • Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Project assistance on the implementation of changes to the Bank’s financial accounting processes in line with the requirements of UK GAAP – primarily implementation of currency conversion
  • To carry out ad-hoc work as requested by the Financial Controller and the CFO.

Qualifications & Experience


  • 0-3+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
  • High proficiency in financial modelling techniques
  • Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
  • BA, BS, or B.Com degree required (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics)
  • Strong analytical and data-gathering skills
  • Good business acumen
