EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW


The role is responsible for the preparation of the financial information (Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement) for various subsidiary entities, including Plc and Water. This includes management flash reporting, monthly financial reporting, half year and year end reporting and the completion of subsidiary statutory accounts.


It will proactively support other departments in producing their key financial reporting outputs and have a strong focus on contributing towards a robust controls environment across the wider finance function.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE


  • Production of the P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements and other supporting schedules (on SAP and Tagetik) for various subsidiary entities, including Plc and Water as part of the month end, half year and year end close.
  • Submission of subsidiary financial information to Group Finance for consolidation purposes.
  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts for various small companies.
  • Facilitation of accurate and efficient month end and reporting period closes.
  • Frequent usage of Cadency through preparing balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries in Certification, as well as submitting month end tasks in Close.
  • Identification of performance improvement opportunities and provision of insightful information and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Production of tax packs to enable the tax team to produce computations for external reporting periods.


In this role we need you to be on your financial qualification journey (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). We are happy if you are studying for first exams, part qualified with exams to take, or fully qualified but you must have started. We will also want you to have experience of stakeholder management, the ability to strive for continuous improvement, have good planning and time management skills and a great attention to detail.
