Responsibilities:
The scope and nature of the projects on which you’ll work will vary however, examples of duties/responsibilities include:
Working on projects for top tier investment banking clients, performing in depth analysis of large datasets within an investment banking environment- Performing data quality checks to ensure data is correct and of high quality, challenging data were necessary
- Using programming and querying languages, e.g., Python, SQL, to run analysis and query relational databases
- Using data visualisation tools and techniques, e.g., Tableau, Visio, Power BI etc, to produce MI dashboards
- Utilising in depth Excel techniques (Macros, VBA, PivotTables etc.)
- Engaging with stakeholders across the bank
- Producing high quality reporting to management, covering trading data, project progress, KPI performance and more.
- Other responsibilities that fall under the remit of different projects
Who are we looking for?
Qualifications & Experience
A 2.1 degree in a Finance, Legal or STEM subject- 1-3 years’ experience of working on professional services projects (Ideally for Investment Bank or a Big 4 consulting firm, relevant experience within other professional industries would be acceptable)
- Strong Excel and spreadsheet management skills are essential, with experience with advanced techniques such as PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, Macros, VBA etc.
- Data Analysis - Able to understand and analyze large amounts of data quickly and efficiently
- Data Visualisation – able to present data in understandable format to senior stakeholders
- Strong MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging with management and stakeholders
- Knowledge of some trading products or how the Front Office works within a bank would be a bonus, but not essential
