Contract: Temporary - 6 months from appointment
Humberside Police are recruiting for a Financial Services Assistant to join the team on a temporary basis. This is a great opportunity for you to gain experience within the Force and develop your finical skills and experience!
You will be responsible for undertaking duties such as payments for invoices, credit control, expenses, setting up suppliers and receipting of monies. The successful candidates will also be required to research queries and provide a customer focused response; therefore, excellent communication skills are key!
The role also entails maintaining systems and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data, therefore the successful candidates will have admirable accuracy and attention to detail.
The Finance department have set deadlines which need to be met, therefore we are looking for someone who is very organised, able to forward-plan and consider the wider implications of situations which may arise.
What is required:
- Educated to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
- Having relevant previous experience in a financial/accounting environment.
- Experience of computerised record keeping.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Has the ability to liaise with people on all levels both internal and external to the Command/Department.
- Demonstrates the ability to complete tasks accurately within specified deadlines.
