Obra Capital is seeking an FP&A Associate to join our Finance team in our New York office. This role will contribute to the development / monitoring of the annual budget and out year strategic plan covering individual business, operating and infrastructure units at a revenue and expense level. The role will include financial modeling, reporting, and working closely with our accounting team to improve processes and help ensure that our long-term financial goals are being met. In addition, this role will oversee payroll processing across four entities, for both salaried and hourly employees. This role will support the MD of FP&A.
BELOW ARE A LIST OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Responsibilities
Support monthly/quarterly updates of the multi-year corporate forecast.
Continuously monitor revenue and operating expenses, keeping leadership informed of any emergent patterns or deviations from expectations
Assist with preparing materials for the Board of Directors and corporate lenders
Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams to prepare a weekly cash forecast
Ensure correct payroll calculations, tax treatment, payroll reconciliation and process outputs (third party, financial systems, etc.)
Work closely with HR, Benefits and Accounting team to ensure accuracy of Payroll.
Track company performance against KPIs and assist with the creation of real-time reporting dashboards
Assist with yearly corporate audits
Provide analytical support to other departments, as needed
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes impacting financial planning & analysis
Qualifications:
3-5 years of financial management experience
Experience working within a financial services organization is preferred
Proficient with Excel and model building
Adept at preparing PowerPoint other presentations
Experience with BI tools a plus, specifically PowerBI
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Economics
Salary range is $80,000 – $110,000. Salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role.
