The Co-operative Bank is looking for a Financial Crime Systems Oversight Manager to join our inclusive and collaborative team. This Financial Crimes Systems role offers a salary of £70,700pa, many excellent benefits, and the chance to work from home.
As a Financial Crime Systems Oversight Manager, you’ll be a key part of the Financial Crime team, responsible for leading and developing a team of skilled analysts, challenging and advising of all responsibilities within Financial Crime (AML, Sanctions, Anti-Corruption and Fraud Systems the Bank operates). Financial Crime oversight is vital to the Co-operative Bank’s second line of defence. You will be responsible for ensuring the Bank delivers its strategy in a safe and controlled way, appropriately balancing risk and reward.
During your first few weeks and months in this Financial Crime Systems Oversight Manager role, you can expect to:
- Contribute fully to the analysis of customer requirements and the identification and development of appropriate Financial Crime solutions (systems and services) to balance the customer impact/risk
- Develop, implement, maintain and support the embedding of Financial Crime Policy and Control Standards
- Lead oversight reviews across Financial Crime systems utilising a risk-based approach
- Ensure testing conducted is to a high standard and reported via relevant oversight Committees
- Take a lead role in implementing and embedding the Risk Management Framework
We are seeking a Financial Crime Systems Oversight Manager with detailed knowledge and understanding of current legislation, regulation, and guidance relating to one or more of AML, Sanctions, Ani-Corruption and Fraud (FCA Financial Crime Guide, JMLSG guidance, Money Laundering Regulations, UK Bribery Act 2010, Criminal Finances Act 2017, Contingent Reimbursement Model) and how these are applied in practice across the industry. You will also require:
- Good working knowledge of Financial Crime related systems and data applications, including data quality, integrity and completeness controls and validation
- Previous experience within a financial institution involving both Retail and Business / Commercial customers
- Sound knowledge of relevant company systems and procedures and the ability to provide relevant challenges in a persuasive way to mitigate any risks
- Able to prepare and write reports that measure the effectiveness of the controls operated by the 1st line, and the overall group performance against risk appetite
