KPMG's Financial Services Forensic Financial Crime Technology team sits within our Forensic practice. The team assists clients to assess, assure, review, test and improve their financial crime systems whilst using innovative Data Analytics tools and approaches.
The Role
The successful individual will manage the delivery of a range of financial crime projects with a particular focus on financial crime review, audit, assurance and advisory orientated engagements. Projects will be varied in nature and will include work to help clients design their approach to assurance as well as executing framework wide or thematic reviews.

The Role
The successful individual will manage the delivery of a range of financial crime projects with a particular focus on financial crime review, audit, assurance and advisory orientated engagements. Projects will be varied in nature and will include work to help clients design their approach to assurance as well as executing framework wide or thematic reviews.
Responsibilities:
- This role will require you to combine technical financial crime knowledge (across transaction and fraud monitoring, transaction and customer screening and customer due diligence) and data analytics knowledge to deliver projects to a high standard whilst also maintaining project management and risk management best practice.
- You will also be required to work on business development propositions and help to manage the wider financial crime team.
- The role gives an opportunity to work with many areas of the business, from technical SMEs through to the consulting side in the wider Forensic practice, with opportunities for progression in either.
- Managing the quality and accuracy of your team's work and addressing risks as they arise;
- Leveraging your skills experience to identify, propose and lead the development of new solutions to client problems;
- Contributing to the overall business management and leadership of the forensic analytics team;
- Contributing to the firm's talent agenda, managing and working effectively in diverse teams and helping to foster an inclusive culture where people are recognised for their contribution.

- Participate in day-to-day management of team on engagements including coaching, providing constructive feedback and performance development.

- Financial Crime Knowledge: Using your existing Financial Crime knowledge and experience to design and carry out end to end testing of Financial crime systems. These systems can include screening, transaction monitoring, customer due diligence and fraud detection.
- Risk Management: Experience in assisting with scoping, adherence to risk and management standards, internal financial management, managing delivery risk, production and review of deliverables.
- Data: Ensuring teams can balance and manage data analysis of large volumes of data, structured and unstructured, utilising a wide range of database management systems, reporting systems and visualisation software.
- Project Management and Delivery: Balancing quality of service, project planning and costs when delivering a project.
- Relationship Building: Building and maintaining strong client relationships and leverage for additional opportunities.
- Business Development: Participating in business development initiatives, including bid proposal and contract/proposition development.
- Report Writing: Responsible for the production and review of client deliverables.
- Quality Control: Maintain high working professional standards and provide high-level quality control feedback and reviews of your team's work.
Desirable
- Relevant postgraduate or professional qualifications (including compliance experience as a practitioner and/or Financial Crime compliance qualifications (e.g. ICA or ACAMS or equivalent);
- Experience of working on projects for external clients;
- Experience of working in or working on projects in regulated industries, particularly financial services;
- Knowledge of a market leading rules engine based solution for Financial Crime compliance (e.g. Actimize, Norcom, Mantas, BAe Detica, SAS etc.)
- Use of 'traditional' data analytics tools and techniques (e.g. MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL) and ETL software (e.g. SSIS, Informatica, CloverETL) to address Financial Crime problems;
- Scripting or programming (e.g. Java, Python, C#).
