This Financial Controller will have a range of responsibilities and tasks, including managing direct reports, handling financial reporting and analysis and working with different teams, managing auditors and dealing with complex accounting standards like IFRS16.

This is a multi-national business headquartered in West London but with sites across Europe and the US. With over 100 sites in the UK and revenue of over £100million – they are looking for candidates who have worked in similar size business and are familiar with this level of complexity.

• Preparation of regular financial reports
• Providing financial data and analysis to the larger group
• Managing and forecasting cash flows on a monthly basis
• Working with the finance teams in the UK and US
• Preparing statutory accounts for the UK and US
• Working and collaborating with auditors to ensure compliance and timely completion of audits
• Dealing with complexities of IFRS16 reporting, which involves handling numerous leases and co-ordination with external advisors
• Taking on projects, as capacity allows, including involvement with PnL and management accounts

Overall, this Financial Controller role is multifaceted, involving regular reporting, cross team collaboration, complex accounting standards and close interaction with auditors. The role is pivotal in providing accurate information to support on the organisations success, particularly given the current phase of change and focus on finance driven decision making.

There is a balance here between project involvement and managing the challenges presented by IFRS16 and auditor relations.
