Role overview We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our Head Office finance team, covering the UK and US head office. Reporting to our Deputy CFO, you will be responsible for financial operations management, reporting, budgeting and forecasting, Group recharges and team management. As a Financial Controller at Next 15, you will: Manage the daily finance team tasks Oversee the accounts payable function, including the end-to-end process from vendor onboarding to payment, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and procedures Maintaining a strong financial control environment, ensuring processes are enforced and, using your prior experience to advise on and implement better processes Perform payment approvals for supplier and staff expense payments Coordinate month-end management accounts reporting process including review and approval of transactional processing Review the balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the wider team Lead all payroll accounting including review and approval of the payment runs and payroll taxes Carry out annual management of the audit process for the head office entities, and be the contact person for external auditors Lead IFRS 16 accounting for Group properties leased by the head office entities. Run the P&L budgeting and reforecast process for head office, working with the department heads to ensure forecasts are accurate and identifying opportunities for efficiency gains, and how spend may impact the Group recharges Work closely with the department heads on a monthly basis on how they are tracking against their forecasts, and providing analysis to enable decision making, for example tracking project spend Challenge the department heads on spend levels and where there may be efficiency gains, better value to be gained with suppliers and/or impact to recharges Prepare cash-flow forecasting for the head office on a monthly basis Provide monthly updates on head office figures to the Executive Leadership team Provide other adhoc analysis required by the leadership team to enable decision making and be the go-to person for head office analysis by the department heads Oversee the Group recharge process on a quarterly basis, working with the department heads on recharges for their area and communicating the recharges across the Group Own the policy for how recharges are calculated, updating it as necessary where the recharges no longer reflect how the brands are using the head office services Communicate with the brand finance heads on timing of recharges, and answer any questions they may have Motivate your direct reports, providing support and regular feedback to them and the broader business where needed You will bring: ACA/ACCA qualified, with at least 3 years post qualified experience Experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, with a strong focus on processes and controls Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and best practices related to accounts payable and intercompany transactions Proficiency in financial systems and strong knowledge of MS excel (can perform complex functions) Effective stakeholder management skills And in return, Next 15 offers: Excellent salary 6% matched pension contributions 30 days annual leave (27 days + 3 at Christmas & New Year) Green Car scheme that saves you up to 40% on the cost of driving an electric car with a wide variety of cars to choose from Group Life insurance Flexible working with a hybrid remote model Career progression Open and collaborative workplace culture Why Us?
