They are looking to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to support their growth aspirations.

Reporting into the CFO you will provide guidance and oversight for the finance department, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and integrity, which carries with it the day-to-day management of the finance team of 4.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
You will oversee the accounting activities through leadership of the team to support business strategy, as well as carrying out periodic tasks within the finance department to include:
- Working with the CFO to produce and review of monthly management accounts for presentation to the Board of Directors
- Ownership of the production of the year end Statutory accounts
- Support the CFO in delivering timely and accurate information to auditors
- Payroll approval and over sight of the outsourced provider
- Intrastat returns & quarterly VAT returns
- Cashflow & treasury management
- Overseeing purchase ledger/ sales ledger procedures
- Support the CFO in creating a robust environment of financial governance, documented and shared with the wider the business
- Ensure robust financial systems and processes – critical evaluation of current processes with regard to risk and efficiencies and recognise automation and improvements in business rules to support organisational growth
- Working closely with departments across the business to share best practices
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Ability to communicate confidently and build strong working relationship at all levels within the business
- Good analytical skills, high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident people manager with strong coaching and interpersonal skills
- Ideally but not essential e-commerce background
- Qualified with minimum of 5yrs experience post qualification
- Positive and flexible “can-do” attitude
- Track record of business partnering non-finance and thriving in a challenging, fast paced environment
