Job description
At Oxford Instruments, we enable the world’s leading industrial companies and scientific research communities to image, analyse and manipulate materials down to the atomic and molecular level. Our customers use our NanoScience ultra-low temperature and high magnetic field environments to go beyond what was once thought possible, whether that’s creating Nobel Prize winning materials or developing quantum computers to solve the world’s most complex problems.
As a Design Engineer degree apprentice, you’ll join our Mechanical Design team and help to bring new products to life, as well as redesigning existing products. You’ll learn the skills and behaviours to become a professional engineer, as well as the knowledge of engineering principles, design best practices and how to use Computer Aided Design (CAD) to create models and detailed drawings for our teams in manufacturing and assembly to produce. You will also learn all about supporting processes such as how to manage and control product design changes and create the documentation that your colleagues will need to purchase parts and manufacture your designs.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.
Note to recruitment agencies: Oxford Instruments operates a Preferred Supplier List, and we do not accept unsolicited agency CVs. Please do not forward candidate details in response to this advert, or to any Oxford Instruments employees or other company locations.
