We have an exciting brand-new opportunity available for a Financial Control Manager to join our Financial Accounting team. You’ll take the lead on improving our controls framework and oversight of the production and review of financial reporting controls. This is a critical role in supporting the business to deliver robust financial and regulatory reporting.
This is a hybrid role with remote working and some onsite presence in our central Leeds offices.
About the role
As Financial Control Manager, you’ll be tasked with developing and implementing processes to monitor the financial compliance of the business, acting as a trusted advisor to support continuous improvement. You will -
Provide financial compliance leadership which leads to a strong financial compliance culture throughout the organisation
Develop and implement supporting processes to effectively monitor the financial compliance landscape
Lead and deliver the compliance monitoring review programme which reacts to risks faced, and provides active challenge to management/ provides assurance to the Audit Committee of the financial control environment
Support month end and year end reporting processes
About you
You’ll be a confident, and concise communicator to stakeholders at all levels and have the ability to engage in open dialogue, provide pragmatic solutions, and deal with conflict as required while maintaining good working partnerships with all areas of the business. You will have –
Professional qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
Experience in designing and implementing financial controls
Strong analytical skills
Experience in facilitating and participating in external audit process
Experience in managing month-end and year-end financial reporting processes
