Müller offers you a long term career with a genuine market leader - We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst – Ingredients (12 month FTC) to join our Finance Team at our site in Market Drayton. This is a small team and the role will report directly to the Financial Controller.

Purpose

To provide additional support to the finance and operations team during a period of transition on month end and weekly reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Support:

The Ingredients business unit is responsible for Butter, Power and /liquid products in order to make the best commercial decision of excess milk and cream, on a ‘make or sell’ basis in light of prevailing commodity price conditions. This will provide support into the finance and operations teams responsible for this activity. Providing month end support, on journal preparation and posting, stock reconciliations, SAP uploads, production report overviews, balance sheet reconciliations, cost variance analysis, follow up reviews with other functional areas, foreign exchange variances….

Financial Processes and Control

Weekly and monthly raw material pricing adjustment administration and reconciliation
Ensure there are appropriate checks to ensure accurate reporting
Responsibility for accuracy and timeliness of financial data
Support preparation of month end Functional Pack as required
Work with Operations team with detailed analysis on costs

Management Reporting

Weekly planning report
Sales analysis
Inventory reporting

Continuous Improvement

Constant review of methods used to ensure best practice at all times
Develop effective cross functional working relationships at all levels within the business

Business Partnering

Support the Financial Controller Ingredients and Finance Analyst in delivering all financial reports accurately and online

Skills and Experience

Experience of communicating with external suppliers and customers
Ability to work closely with non-finance team
Cost and variance analysis
Experience of detailed reconciliations
Proven IT & Systems knowledge and experience, including Excel
SAP would be desirable
Ability to visualize the whole picture and understand the importance of their role both within the department and also within the whole company

Personal Qualities

Quick learner with ability to work on own initiative in a fast moving, high pressured environment
Strong numerical skills with the ability to understand and analyse financial data
Attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance people
