This is an exciting new role with a leading, independent finance lender to join their dedicated and highly talented team. They are seeking a motivated and organised individual with strong AML knowledge and experience within the Financial Services industry to join their Risk and Compliance team as a Financial Crime Analyst. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing financial crime trends.
The Financial Crime Analyst will work closely with the Senior Compliance Manager and MLRO in providing guidance and support to the business, covering the following duties and areas:
- Enhancing process for identifying AML red flags, using staff awareness and system data;
- Advising on level of CDD and EDD on live cases where needed;
- Working with the Risk and Compliance Managers to provide support and make recommendations to the business on AML related decisions;
- Advancing the ability to risk rate the customer book;
- Carrying into effect projects and actions highlighted by MLRO Annual Report;
- Carrying out elements of regular monthly monitoring of case activity,
- Assisting with monthly Internal Review of all completed cases;
- Responsible for some Compliance control functions such as administration of the mandate/discretionary powers framework and record keeping;
- Providing support to the business by undertaking ad hoc projects and research as directed by the Senior Management Team.
- Experience and knowledge of working within the financial services / mortgage industry
- Understanding of FCA regulation
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent IT skills (proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF)
- Ability to prioritise and coordinate allocated workstreams;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, organisational skills and detail orientated;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including proofreading;
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential management issues and information with discretion;
- Team player, supportive of others, proactive;
- Self-educating, curious and pragmatic, solution-oriented mind-set.
What you’ll receive:
Salary + Package: £34,000 – 36,000 DOE + 25 days annual leave + Pension + discounted gym membership
Hours: 9am-5pm - Monday – Friday (Hybrid working – 1 day WHF / 4 days in office)
Location: Kings Hill, West Malling (free parking)
