What you will be doing?

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Regulatory Finance Analyst to join on a 4- 6 month contract. This is a varied and multi faceted role, working within a dedicated team of professionals.

Key responsibilities include-

  • Supporting the completion of the PR24 financial reports including the APR and the data tables and ensuring that we have a robust audit trail.
  • Implementing analytical standards for reporting and modelling KPIs to enable the business partners to drive added value with their respective business units.
  • Supporting completion of the APR and the population of the PR24 data tables for each Business Unit/Directorate including impact performance and Risks and Opportunities.
  • Providing the high-quality financial information required including leading and lagging levers, cost drivers, trend analysis, the so what and recommendations to assist decision making.
  • Developing and implementing analytical standards for reporting and modelling KPIs with a view to automation.
  • As a key financial liaison, partner with the various departments across Finance and the business to understand the End to End processes, identify hot spots and drive improvements.
  • Monitoring of external reporting requirements and researching accounting issues to help drive the best Regulatory outcome for the company.

What you will bring to the role?

  • Confidence of working with large volumes of data, whilst maintaining a strong audit.
  • Thirst to know the what and the why and an Inquisitive mind.
  • Experience of turning numbers into financial insight to share with finance and business managers.
  • Strong analytical and forecasting abilities.
  • Highly effective communication skills (listening and presenting ideas).
  • Collaborative work style but also take ownership to complete tasks independently.
  • Ideally, some experience of working with planning systems and reporting technology.
  • Preferably some experience with business intelligence tools and developing data visualisations.

Essential

  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree E.g. Finance, Economics, Maths.
  • Good systems experience with Excel
  • Highly Motivated Individual

Desirable but not essential

  • Accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA
  • Systems Experience with PowerBi.
  • Systems Experience with HFM.
