What will you do?

Siemens Canada, Digital Industries is looking for a motivated and self-driven Financial Analyst who will be responsible for assisting with Sales Support, Pricing analysis, Accounts Receivable and reporting of financial data for various stakeholders, with emphasis on financial closing and general accounting topics. Siemens Digital Industries is an innovation and technology leader in industrial automation and digitalization and Ruggedcom is focused on the development of networking solutions designed for mission critical application in harsh environments.

• Support month-end closing and preparation of journal entries within required deadlines
• Perform various month-end balance sheet reconciliations reports
• Support in managing and driving the internal controls system, including proper documentation and assessment of those controls
• Support external and internal audit activities and initiatives
• Capital asset management and reporting
• Accounts payable detail analysis including blocked invoice exception reporting, debit balance review, E-voucher, and EDI invoice rejections
• Support for Special Price Request (SPR) analysis and reporting
• Sales Support liaison and oversight of Accounts Receivable
• GR/IR detail analysis of reconciling items and aging report
• Currency management support and hedging analysis
• Special projects and ad hoc reports analysis as required
• Specific accounting support for Payroll entries

What will you need to succeed?

• Degree/ Diploma in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of experience in an accounting or finance roles
• Excellent knowledge of accounting processes and principles
• 2+ of exposure to financial disclosure processes and related tools
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel tools including -pivot tables, macros, advanced excel functionality and MS office applications
• Knowledge of SAP would be an asset
• Knowledge of data analytics tools such as Tableau, Knime, Power BI a strong asset
• Ability to multi-task, make independent decisions, and collaboratively problem solve within specified deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
