POSITION DESCRIPTION

FP&A Financial Analyst – 6 Month FTC – Saint Gobain Construction Chemicals - Slough Based Role (Hybrid)

At Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals, we are looking for a FP&A Financial Analyst. to work in our Slough office for an initial period of 6 months, this could become a longer term or permanent position but at this point in time we are looking at starting somebody on a 6 month fixed term contract.

Saint Gobain Construction Chemicals offers a wide range of innovative specialty construction chemicals and materials that includes: concrete admixtures and technologies and fibres, architectural concrete products, liquid pigments for coloured concrete, cement processing additives, concrete masonry products, air barriers, roofing under-layments, residential building materials, structural waterproofing systems, fire protection products, leak sealing and geo-grouting solutions and high strength structural grouts and mortars.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Reporting directly into FP&A Director the FP&A Financial Analyst will be a part of the international Finance Team and you will be working with VP’s and MD’s who are based in and around EMEA. The Financial Analyst will need to be comfortable in working in a demanding, global public company environment which is critical to success, as is the ability to build strong relationships with the regional, global commercial, FP&A and Finance teams. You will need to have the ability to manage and lead multiple projects across functions.

What we’re looking for:

  • Part Qualified CIMA / ACCA / ATA
  • Graduate or Post Graduate Qualification in business related subject
  • A minimum of 3 years post qualification experience
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • The ability to manage and lead multiple projects cross functionally
  • Advanced PC skills required – Excel, Word and PowerPoint are essential
  • SAP / BW / BPC experience preferred
  • Expertise with financial systems and tools
  • Knowledge of local regulatory and accounting regulations
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with other departments.
  • Highly motivated and driven professional, able to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of local regulatory and accounting regulations

  • Willingness to travel globally as required

What you will be doing:

  • Providing insight and support to FP&A Manager, Country Mangers and Regional VP/ Directors across a wide range of activities as to how actions will impact short- and long-term goals
  • Assist in the analysis and review of multiple country and business P&Ls, sales reports, departmental expenses, working capital and monthly commentary.
  • Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial estimates and provide monthly, and additional ad-hoc (as required), analysis on results
  • Coordinate, prepare and analyse monthly consolidations of key commercial finance metrics
  • Support in preparation for MBR’s, QBR’s, AOP and other business presentations.
  • Support the FP&A Manager and Regional VP/ Directors with ad hoc business analysis and special initiatives to drive business goals.
  • Support preparation and financial aspects of annual strategic, and operating plans
  • Support the design and preparation of automated/manual reports from company systems as required
  • Review, recommend and implement process improvements as required
