Financial Analyst II-Accounting Focus

Compensation for this role starts at $65K depending on skills and experience.**

Scope of Job:
Provides support to the Finance Business Partners in the areas of month end close activities, monthly reporting, analytical reviews, and capital reporting. Performs month end accounting activities such as journal entries, revenue analysis and reconciliation, expense analysis of prepayments and accruals and balance sheet reconciliations. Communicates with internal and external contacts regarding financial data and performs related research. Provides back-up support for daily/weekly/monthly revenue flash report.
Main Responsibilities:**

- Provide support to the Finance Business Partners in preparation of Financial, Management, and Operational reporting. Assist with providing trend and variance analysis as well as financial modelling.
- Support the Finance Business Partners and operational departments with comparative analysis and ad hoc reporting. This includes assistance in budgeting, month end review, accruals, and data analysis.
- Provide month end support for revenue, COGS, and expense accruals.
- Perform weekly reviews and reconciliations of revenue to source systems.
- Assists with the preparation of capital request forms and monthly capital reporting.
- Assists the centralized cash team with monthly reconciliations and in researching uncleared items.
- Assists the finance hub with any accounting records maintenance, preparation of journal entries and month end close activities.
- Assist the finance hub with the preparation of various month end balance sheet reconciliations including bank/cash/revenue, inter-company, asset & liability reconciliations such as fixed assets, prepayments, deposits, & inventory. Ensures any reconciling items are resolved in a timely manner.
- Assists with special projects and other duties as required.
- Back-up support for preparation, review and distribution of the Daily / Weekly Flash Reporting of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and Revenues. Note: this will require some weekend work on a rotating basis.

Background and Experience:**
*
- Proven working experience in accounting or finance, at least 2 years.
- Experience with analyzing financial data and creation of financial models for decision support.
- Experience with coordinating with other members of a finance team to review financial information and forecasts.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office required with proficient Excel skills, advanced preferred.
- Strong communication skills including ability to present findings to senior stakeholders.
- Time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Works with minimal supervision, manages own time effectively, maintains control over all current projects/responsibilities. Follows up on all relevant issues.
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical skills required.
- Knowledge of ERP (NetSuite – Preferred) and reporting tools like Cognos TM1 and Power BI.
Education:*
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required. Professional certification preferred (e.g., CPA, CIMA, or other equivalent)

- Ability to sit for sustained periods of time to attend on-site and off-site meetings, perform paperwork activities, travel and drive.
- Intermittent and prolonged standing and walking to move about the park site and interact with employees.
- Finger dexterity sufficient to complete paperwork activities and to use a computer.
- Visual acuity sufficient to read written materials, to complete paperwork activities, and to drive.
- Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals in person and by telephone.
