As part of our continued expansion plans, we are now recruiting for a Financial Analyst (part time > working from home) to help support our strategic growth. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in analysing financial data, generating insightful reports, and providing strategic recommendations to aid in informed decision-making. The Financial Analyst will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to the company's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance evaluation processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis > Conduct thorough analyses of financial data, including revenue, expenses, profitability, and trends. Interpret complex financial information to identify key insights and trends, and provide actionable recommendations to management.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting > Assist in the development of annual budgets and short and long-term financial forecasts. Monitor performance against budgets, identify variances, and provide explanations for deviations. Collaborate with senior management to ensure accurate and timely budget reporting.
  • Financial Reporting > Prepare and present regular financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and key stakeholders. Create insightful visualisations to communicate financial performance effectively.
  • Data Integrity > Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of financial data. Regularly reconcile financial records, identify discrepancies, and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Cost Analysis > Analyse cost structures and cost drivers within the organisation. Identify areas for potential cost savings or efficiency improvements.
  • Scenario Analysis > Develop and maintain financial models to assess the impact of various scenarios on the company's financial performance. Assist in stress-testing financial projections.
  • Advisory Role > Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations for optimising operational performance. Participate in strategic discussions and provide financial perspectives on business decisions.
  • Process Improvement > Continuously seek opportunities to streamline and enhance financial processes. Recommend and implement improvements to reporting methodologies, data collection, and analysis techniques.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role, with a strong understanding of financial concepts and principles.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and using financial software/tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets / Microsoft Excel; experience with data visualisation tools.
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organisation.
  • High level of integrity and ethics in handling sensitive financial information.
