About the team:

The Workforce and Financial analytics team is part of a newly formed data, analytics, and management reporting organization within FIS’ Capital Markets delivery organization.

What you will be doing:

The analyst will be key to supporting how the delivery organization effectively plans & manages labour expense, ensuring accuracy and transparency of the data and providing supporting management information that allows the delivery leaders to make informed decisions to manage their budget.

The role reports to the Workforce and Financial Analytics team and will be a key member of this newly formed team.

Position Responsibilities include:

  • Support the implementation of accurate labour expense forecast reports (wage waterfall).
  • Work with team members in the analysis of monthly labour expense forecast reports to ensure data in upstream workforce system is accurate.
  • Gather, prepare and summarize analysis that explains variances to expense forecasts.
  • Participation in meetings with organizational unit/department managers to discuss labour forecast discrepancies and make necessary adjustments.
  • Supports the hiring process by ensuring that all hiring requests are aligned to the financial forecast.
  • Participation in the preparation of insightful reporting and analysis for Senior Leadership.
  • Collaborate and education of internal employees on changes to Workforce and Finance practices, processes or procedures.
  • Provides coaching and/or guidance to less experienced Business Analysts in the team.

  • Works independently with only administrative supervision and the ability to overcome major obstacles and recognize early when issues should be escalated or a senior peer needs to be consulted.
  • Wide latitude for independent judgment and is expected to provide guidance and cross-training to others.
  • Effectively communicates with all levels of technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Consults with senior peers on moderate to complex processes to learn through experience.
  • Possess mature business judgment; proactive and results oriented
  • Accustomed to operating in fast-paced environment with demanding internal clients
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or similar discipline
  • 5-7 years relevant experience
  • Highly analytical
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
  • Adaptability, a drive to learn, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team

Added bonus if you have:

  • Experience working in a finance function
  • Financial modelling experience
  • Experience in working with Business Intelligence tools like Tableau or PowerBI
