Responsibilities:

• Respond to 1LOD escalations of high risk and monitored customers Including PEPS/RCA’s, sanctioned and adverse associated subjects
• Provide timely reporting to the MLRO of risk issues and control gaps if/when identified
• Advise the business on Financial Crime matters including guidance on retail and corporate account opening, closures and other grey matter issues
• Support Cryptocurrency and FX trade investigations, SAR reporting and law enforcement requests
• Support the governance requirements of the Financial Crime team including assistance in the drafting of financial crime policies and procedures consistent with legislation, and support the 1LOD in embedding financial crime policies and procedures
• Conduct 2LOD quality assurance across a range of financial crime controls and fulfilment of the compliance monitoring plan
• Horizon/Intelligence scanning and communication reports of local and global financial crime trends, events and issues
• Deliver and produce training packages and materials across the range of financial crime risk typologies and control functions
• Supporting the delivery of financial crime projects and systems integration engaging with external and internal stakeholders and product managers
• Delivery of risk assessments and regular control reviews of system configuration and parameter settings
• Carry out other ad-hoc tasks or projects, e.g. support regulatory reporting

• AML/FinCrime Qualifications an advantage
• 3 years minimum of experience within FinCrime/AML 2LOD
• Strong transaction monitoring, screening and CDD/EDD/KYC background
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines and targets
• A can-do positive approach and solution finder
• Able to communicate effectively across a range of global teams and stakeholders across both 1LOD and 2LOD
• Organized and structured able to manage priorities appropriately
• Comfortable with data analysis and competent Excel and other Microsoft Office skills
• Able to understand various systems quickly and with ease
• Able to work off their own initiative both autonomously and functioning within a team environment
