Lilly is currently constructing an advanced manufacturing facility for production of API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) molecules located in Lebanon, IN. This facility is Lilly’s largest investment in manufacturing capacity and is intended to provide APIs for current and future products, including new modalities. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the startup team for a greenfield manufacturing site, using the latest high-tech equipment, advanced highly integrated and automated manufacturing systems, and have a focus on minimizing the impact to our environment.

The Financial Analyst position is a member of the Lebanon API manufacturing finance team, providing both strategic and tactical support as key business partner for the manufacturing site’s operational and functional leadership. The primary focus of the position includes monthly reporting, forecasting, planning, capital controllership, business decision analysis and execution of SOx controls. The role includes managing internal relationships to facilitate the site project delivery. The Financial Analyst will implement to meet the objectives of the Company while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure appropriate financial controls exist for all income statement and balance sheet accounts
- Leadership of monthly financial closing, including preparation of accounting journal vouchers and documentation
- Prepare and present monthly financial results and explain main drivers of business performance to management
- Financial leadership and controllership of capital expenditures
- Forecasting and delivery of capitalization of assets
- Coordinate processes for long range plan, quarterly forecasts, and annual business plan
- Implementation of best practices and operational improvements
- Perform financial analysis for plant operations and provide decision support on operational and technical matters
- Provide guidance to the site on financial policies, internal controls, costing, and accounting matters
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or relevant field
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Adaptability to a fast paced, dynamic and changing environment
- 2 or more years of accounting experience
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) expertise
- SAP experience
- Prior financial planning, reporting, forecasting and capital controllership experience
- Prior experience in Pharmaceuticals or Manufacturing
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Experience working in a regulated environment
- Strong analytical skill, teamwork, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills exhibited across all functional, technical, leadership, administrative, and organizational areas
- Demonstrated learning agility, ability/willingness to adapt to continual change, prioritization capabilities, and written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate complex financial topics simply
- Proven ability to influence business decisions

- The position is onsite for the Lilly Lebanon API Manufacturing (Indiana)
- Initial location may be at LTC-S, Indianapolis, IN
- Work outside of normal core business hours may be required at times
