YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:
As a Financial Analyst, you will work within the Incoming Transport Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Team Leader, your duties will include:
Collaborating on the preparation of budgets with each site in North America.
Performing and presenting analyses to support improvement, understanding of variances and efficiency gaps, and transportation decision-making.
Following up on commitments and amounts due to various suppliers.
Developing, optimizing and standardizing key financial processes.
You will also be required to:
Demonstrate an excellent understanding of our data sources.
Demonstrate creativity in modelling performance indicators.
Support the group by producing and proposing innovative solutions to meet the needs identified by the team.
Keep up with new analytical trends.
Ensure the smooth running of existing tools, then coach and train team members to ensure the appropriate level of knowledge and expertise.
THIS ROLE IS A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or another relevant field.
Strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and the ability to synthesize information.
Computer skills (Office Suite, SAP, Google Suite).
Knowledge of SQL and VBA languages would be an asset.
Knowledge of BI tools (particularly Power BI and Tableau) would be an asset.
Bilingualism and strong communication skills (collaboration with international financial analysts).
This position is based in Valcourt, Quebec with the possibility of telecommuting (2/3 days a week in the office).
