Summary:
Working within a small team reporting to the FP&A Manager, the Financial Analyst will assist in the development and building of financial forecasting and reporting tools. The Financial Analyst will help provide accurate and data based information on company’s profitability, solvency, stability and liquidity, to help the company make well informed decisions and monitor financial movements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, cash flow forecasting tools.
- Development and control of integrated 12 month rolling P+L and cash flow forecasts, working with the Trading department to evaluate impact of new acquisitions.
- Provide insight to business leadership on revolving credit debt facility (RCF) availability.
- Provide analysis on the management of the RCF borrowing base, identifying the key risks and opportunities to current plan.
- Analyse current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, overheads, inventory turn and project performance.
- Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected variance
- Monthly project tracking and variance analysis
- Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
- Work closely with the Business Intelligence unit to streamline reporting procedures and implement best practice in reporting.
- Drive companywide performance improvement through insightful transformation of data into useful information for decision making purposes.
- Supporting Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysis
- Any other duties as directed by the FP&A Manager as appropriate to level of experience
Key Skills/Characteristics:
- Ability to handle and analyse large volumes of data
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to transform raw data into meaningful information
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate to a wide range of stakeholders who may have varying degrees of financial understanding.
- Self-start who can conceptualise and execute ideas
- Highly commercial mindset
- High degree of financial acumen.
Salary range: £40k- £45k DoE
