The post holder will
Support the Financial Accountant in providing accurate and timely Statement of Financial Position information for reporting, analytics, and benchmarking.
Responsible for the reconciliation and clearance of control and suspense codes held on the Statement of Financial Position in accordance with internal procedures.
Responsible for the review and maintenance of standing data for the treasury governance control infrastructure, including mandates and access controls.
Support the Financial Accountant in completion of all requirements of the NHS Agreement of Balances exercise.
All duties to be carried out in accordance with the Trust’s Standing Financial Instructions, internal office procedures and timetables.

The successful candidate must be numerate and literate (Grade C – GCSE in Mathematics and English, or equivalent) and be AAT qualified or equivalent experience qualified.
The postholder will have experience in a finance environment (preferably in Financial Accounts with control account reconciliation experience), a good knowledge of finance systems, especially the General Ledger and have a mature approach to problem solving. The postholder will have experience in use of computer systems, working to and achieving timetables and work accurately under pressure. The postholder will have a flexible approach, be able to work on own initiative as well as work as part of a team, and able to prioritise tasks and focus on key requirements.
The role will be based in the Wayside House office, but home working will be the majority proportion of the position.
