What you'll do


We're recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join our Enterprise & Wholesale Financial Operations team at Vodafone UK. This team delivers a large sum of revenue, offering both mobile & fixed services covering 1,500 accounts, including some of the biggest household names across the UK and globally.


As a Financial Accountant, you will work closely with the Finance Operations Manager to ensure accuracy and completeness of monthly revenue results across specific mobile billing bases, including reconciliation of the systems, P&L and balance sheets whilst fulfilling month end responsibilities.


Wider responsibilities will also include:


  • Ensuring that accounting records are kept appropriately and that the reported results comply with accounting standards and relevant legislation.
  • Providing support in presenting the monthly financial results to the Commercial Finance team(s).
  • Communicate in appropriate detail the analysis of the results, giving insight into the drivers.
  • Supporting the month end wash up sessions, ensuring timely follow up of open actions.
  • Delivering of compliance of Sarbanes Oxley and Audit control documentation, while identifying opportunities for streamlining controls and maintaining an effective control environment.
  • Supporting risk and opportunity reviews.


Who you are


  • Demonstrable experience working to daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines will be essential.
  • Partly or fully qualified in relevant field of Finance/Accounting (e.g., CIMA, ACA, ACMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with a clear track record of translating ideas and information to all levels of seniority.
  • Builds relationships within and across departments with a collaborative and consultative mindset.
  • Adept in the utilisation of the MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
