Job description
A Financial Accountant is required to work for a listed FMCG business, this is a remote role with travel required to their London Head Office once per month. This is an opportunity to work for a globally recognised brand that prides itself on having an extremely rewarding culture.
You will be sitting in the finance team responsible for the financial accounting for the EMEA entities. This role will be specifically responsible for managing the Dutch entity as well as supporting the team with the accounting for the UK entity.
Responsibilities will include:
- Management of internal and external reporting for the Dutch entity, working in accordance with local GAAP and US GAAP
- Management of tax and VAT reporting for the Dutch entity
- Ownership of the accounting for the holding company including managing recharges
- Responsibility for the intercompany accounting and reconciliations
- Preparation of the month-end accounting including journals, accruals and prepayments
- Taking ownership of the balance sheet review and reconciliations
- Supporting with any ad-hoc projects as well as supervising Part Qualified Accountants
The successful candidate will either be a Qualified Accountant or Masters equivalent with experience working in a business of £50 million turnover plus. You must have experience preparing statutory accounts and VAT preparation, ideally for international entities (any experience of Dutch accounting would be beneficial). Knowledge of SAP is desirable as is experience working in the consumer industry. To succeed in this role, you will have excellent communication skills, be proactive in nature, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment.
