Job description

Can you implement the required changes to our governance, organisational structures and processes across the British Red Cross, improving our ability to track the impact and value of how our funds support our beneficiaries?
About the role…
The British Red Cross is operating in an ever-changing funding landscape. We understand that Fundraising audiences are increasingly drawn to restricted propositions, engaging with charities through digital means and expect greater ongoing engagement and stewardship.

In this role you will work with Senior Leadership to drive change within existing processes as well as taking responsibility for designing process improvement directly.
The role can be based anywhere in the UK however regular travel to BRC sites (mainly London and Paisley) will likely be required. This can be discussed in more detail with the Hiring Manager at interview stage.
We are looking for someone who can?
Transform our finance performance architecture
Drive improvement of existing processes
Lead on multiple projects and workstreams
Engage Senior Stakeholders
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
Leading on the revision of the funding and performance models, creating a categorisation and management of British Red Cross costs, income and activities that supports revenue growth and leads to greater efficiency in the utilisation of current resources.
Developing, with fundraising, ways of working that maximise the revenue generation potential whilst supporting organisational sustainability.
Collaborating with corporate finance, adapting BRC’s approach to budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to maximise the potential of the new performance architecture, enabling improving prioritisation, allocation, and generation of funds.
Working in an agile way to respond to other organisational developments that interface with this work and to identify and overcome inter-dependencies with this work
Please see the attached Job Description for full details on role responsibilities.
We have a wide range of staff benefits available to all our employees, such as 36 days holiday, up to 6% pension contribution. Click here for further details on our staff benefits
Diversity is something we celebrate
At the British Red Cross, we are looking for the best people to help us provide support to millions of people affected by crisis in the UK. We want our team to reflect the diversity of the communities we serve, offering equal opportunities to everyone, regardless of; age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
We also offer additional flexible benefits centred around family and carer friendly policies. User centred design is still relatively new to the organisation so we want to make sure we’re really supporting our practitioners. To do this there are generous training and development opportunities and you will be truly supported in getting access to and making time for training and development. There will also be opportunities to volunteer within our services, particularly those you’ll be directly working with.
