An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Statutory Reporting and Internal Controls team which is part of Gesban, who play an important role within Santander by providing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for Santander UK Plc (‘SanUK’) and its subsidiaries.
You’ll be involved in monthly accounting & reporting on areas for both the Retail bank and Santander subsidiaries together with related projects
The difference you’ll make.
Reporting accurate month, quarter and year end figures providing detailed analysis for UK and group external reporting
Completing processes related to operational loss and Fee accounting but not limited to detailed retail product analysis, EIR postings (multiple products), operational loss reporting and capital asset analysis
Preparing monthly journals and related reconciliations
Analysing complex spreadsheet models related to product analysis in order to suggest and implement improvements
Maintaining up to date process documentation for all own processes ensuring EUC compliance
What you’ll bring.
Qualified or part-qualified accountant - ACA / ACCA / CIMA / equivalent
Experience in accounting principles, month/year end reporting in a Financial/MI environment
It would also be nice for you to have.
Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all stakeholders
Proactive, task focused and problem solving skill
Good attention to detail
What else you need to know.
It is a permanent role based in Milton Keynes offering hybrid working model where you should attend the office 2 days per week. Flexibility required around month-end.
