Hours: Part-time, 24 hours per week, Permanent, All year round

Location: Hybrid working – Home & Lingfield campus

St Piers School and College sits in the Education Directorate of Young Epilepsy, the leading national charity working exclusively to improve the lives of children and young people with epilepsy and associated conditions.

St Piers is an innovative and creative non-maintained residential special school and college for children and young people aged 5-25 with epilepsy, autism, severe learning difficulties, speech, language, and communication needs, and sensory and/or physical needs. We work with young people to create personalised learning programmes appropriate to their individual needs and abilities. Our aim is to help them to fulfil realistic aspirations, achieve their goals, and develop meaningful and relevant skills for everyday life in society.

About the role:

  • To be responsible for the purchase requisition and purchase order system within Young Epilepsy
  • Assist in streamlining current processes
  • To be responsible for Purchase ledger and other month end reconciliations.
  • Assisting the Head of Finance in ad hoc reporting

What we need from you:

  • A team player who enjoys building good working relationships within the Finance team
  • Experienced in Purchases ledger duties
  • Ability to build good working relationships with other departments
  • Excellent attention to detail and proven experience of working to deadlines
  • Experience in month end reconciliations
  • Experience in liaising with suppliers
  • Experience in investigating purchase ledger queries
  • Good Excel skills
  • Be part qualified AAT or willing to study towards an accountancy qualification
