Schools Financial Services is a trading service offering a comprehensive range of financial and business support services to Local Authority Schools.
Due to an increasing demand for our proven expertise and support, we are pleased to announce that we have an exciting opportunity to recruit to our vibrant team.
The role of Finance Officer involves working in schools in all areas of the city, with some aspects of working from home. You will also be required to attend meetings and training at BCC CAB buildings such as Woodcock Street, as well as virtual Microsoft Teams meeting, as required.
The role requires candidates who have proven experience and ability in budget preparation and budget monitoring at the appropriate level, as well as the ability to perform day to day routine financial tasks.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal is essential in this role in order to ensure effective liaison with Headteachers and School Governors, as well as other colleagues across the Council.
In addition to these skills, knowledge and experience of using school MIS systems and Microsoft Packages, particularly Excel is required.
Please note, this role provides services across the Birmingham area and requires frequent travel across all areas of the City of Birmingham on a daily basis.
