To lead a team to ensure inventory is properly controlled and product cost is correctly reported to Finance and Business Stakeholders
As the Finance Manager – Product Inventory Accounting, you’ll be:
Accountable for complex month end inventory close process activities, Balance Sheet integrity and accurate transactional costing and accounting.- Leading the team to deliver standardised, streamlined inventory reporting to operational and senior stakeholders to inform key business decision making and strategic business planning (Weekly, Monthly, YTD)
- Ensuring the team delivers high quality analysis supporting Business Partners to achieve financial, operational and strategic objectives
- Identifying opportunities to continuously improve finance processes, utilising continuous improvement methodologies
- Ensuring that the team adhere to policies, controls and governance
- Collaborating with the wider finance community to deliver finance initiatives and key business outcomes
- The escalation point to resolve complex issues and customer concerns
- Providing leadership to the team, supporting with growth planning to maximise their performance and career development
- Setting individual objectives, conduct regular performance management reviews and address issues where required
- Driving the JLR Customer First principles and behaviours
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
CCAB recognised professional qualification- Minimum two to three years post qualification experience in a complex organisation
- Minimum two to three years experience of managing a small team
- Experience of working in a SOX controlled environment with complex systems and databases
- In-depth knowledge of R2R processes within a complex organisation with transfer pricing and intercompany transactions
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to develop and nurture relationships
- Exceptional numerical and analytical skills
- Advanced communication and presentation skills
- Adept at translating financial issues for operational teams
- Continuous improvement ‘mind set’ with the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues using innovation
- Ability to multi-task, work accurately at speed and under pressure
- Able to plan team workload effectively to deliver complex activities to challenging timescales
- Customer focused demonstrating customer first behaviours
- Self-driven learner with an appetite for continuous professional and personal development
- Ability and willingness to travel - globally
