Normal Works is a global FinTech+SaaS company that challenges how money works for SMBs. We focus on building innovative solutions around B2B payment, finance automation, and AI.

Dual-headquartered in London and Hong Kong, Normal Works has strong backing from multiple VCs and three Co-founders who are FinTech veterans, among whom Toby Xu was a tech/business leader of Alipay who played a key role in building what is now the world’s largest payment platform. Our core team members are from major internet companies, startups and financial institutions, including Ant Group, Tencent, Hokodo, HSBC.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Finance Manager candidate with strong finance background and preferably startup experience to join us for a unique opportunity.

Responsibilities:

We have designed a path that is challenging but will be hugely rewarding for whom aspires to become a tech CFO ultimately. There are at least 3 directions that you can contribute:

• Leverage technology to redefine the industry. You will work with founders to develop product strategy and finance-related product features by leveraging your finance expertise. Your domain knowledge is critical in building a successful product.
• Help clients to succeed. You will have great opportunities to interact with clients and provide finance insights and advices to help SMBs survive and thrive. Not just sitting in the office, but engage and help clients to make a greater impact.
• Oversee finance and establish a finance team. You will be the employee No.1 in finance which means a big opportunity to define the finance function and set up a team for a fast-growing FinTech startup.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field;
• 3+ years experience practicing as a financial manager, accountant or similar role;
• AAT, ACCA, ACA or equivalent qualification;
• Proficient with accounting tools, such as Quickbooks, Xero, Sage, and NetSuite;
• A good team player and self starter who works well in a fast-paced, high-growth work environment;
• Ability to put self in customers' place and promote customer needs internally in an insightful way;

Co-founders:

• Toby XU(Co-founder & CEO) - MIT 35 Innovators Under 35. Former head of various business lines, CTO & CPO of Int'l Business Group at Ant Group. Previous Developer & Head of the Technical Team at Alipay.
• Patrick YE (Co-founder) - Former Director (Overseas Investment) & Head of Strategic Partnerships at Ant Group. Previous Associate Director (Investment Banking FIG) at HSBC.
• Fatima Ayoub (Co-founder) - Marketing veteran with experience in various B2B and B2C startups. Former Head of Marketing of Hokodo, Former Head of Marketing of Solna.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £30,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
