Due to the success and growth of the company, we’re now seeking a Financial Controller to join the finance team. This is a full-time position, and you will be part of our Finance Team reporting directly to the CFO. You will have the opportunity to help grow the business and contribute to the clean energy transition.
About the role:
This is a brand-new Financial Controller opportunity, which will offer you the chance to put your personal stamp on a rapidly growing business, and expand your knowledge, experience, and personal development, in a fast-paced environment. The responsibility of the Financial Controller will be to lead the team responsible for accounting support tasks, ensure the firm meets its financial reporting requirements, regulatory reporting, and provide insight on performance to senior management. You will be helping drive financial performance across a range of areas in a number of different countries.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading, motivating and developing a small team, responsible for a wide range of tasks.
- Ownership of the month end processes including all financial ledger postings and balance sheet reconciliation / packs reviews.
- Production of information for the monthly board meetings including commentary and analysis.
- Production of regulatory returns.
- International tax reporting & compliance, across all jurisdictions and all taxes.
- Processing and payment of expense claims
- Processing supplier payments and handling supplier queries.
- Monitoring and providing analysis on project spend.
- Treasury management, including forecasting cash requirements & foreign currency management.
- Preparation of budgets and cashflow forecasts and related management information.
- Production of monthly management accounts and associated information for other departments.
- Production and analysis of overhead cost reporting across the business.
- Assist the group in the preparation of the annual financial statements and annual returns.
- Provide ad hoc assistance on activities across the business, MI requests.
- Lead the external audit programme.
- Projects to enhance the business and ensure stability in a rapid growth environment.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including Private Equity.
- Financial processes, policies and controls for the Group.
- Payroll & Pension control as well as associated benefits.
Do you have what it takes?
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA level) with ideally prior audit experience or practice training.
- Experience in Engineering or design consultancy sector and long-term contract accounting, but is not a requirement.
- Proven track record of achievements
