Weatherford have a great opportunity for an experienced, qualified Finance Supervisor to join the team in Altens, Aberdeen. The Finance Supervisor is responsible for external financial reporting requirements; ensuring financial statements are reported on a timely and correct manner alongside supporting the general accounting requirements of an extended finance function. You will work in close collaboration with multiple finance stakeholders such as; Europe Africa Centre of Excellence, Weatherford Service Centre and third-party consultants to ensure UK finances are complaint with both US and UK Accounting Standards in addition to Weatherford internal policies. The Finance Supervisor will be able to analyse and prepare detailed financial information as required in addition to being able to provide technical guidance and support to all stakeholders to ensure shared objectives are achieved. You will have wide exposure to the UK management structure and Global finance function and will ultimately in time act as depute for Country Controller as and where required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and prepare year-end financial statements as main focal point for statutory audit of Weatherford UK group entities; including ETB, GAAP to STAT adjustments and investment reviews.
- Coordinate and assist tax with preparation of year-end tax accounting schedules for annual tax computation.
- Ensure ongoing integrity and accuracy in our balance sheet with quarterly risk reviews and variance reporting.
- Support to Country Controller for analysis and monthly allocation of Shared and Support Costs, including forecast and budget processes.
- Intercompany oversight including audit confirmations, Certificate of Residency requests and UK group matrix STAT adjustments.
- Working with Treasury and Tax to ensure intercompany receipts are executed timely with minimal withholding tax.
- Provide oversight and guidance to ensure Centre of Excellence and Weatherford Shared Service Centre remain in line with UK policies and procedures including review of new and revised Statement of Practice for both teams.
- Preparation of financial analysis and assistance to Transfer Pricing, Tax and Non-Routine Transaction teams as required.
- General accounting oversight including but not limited to; banking and payment approvals, cashflow preparation, national statistics and HMRC enquires.
- Review, report and analyze key P&L related activities including RD&E, R&M and other businesses outside of Operations model.
- Assist with key project related activities as and when they arise.

- Professional accreditation (ICAS/ACCA or nearing completion).
- Strong experience in a similar role in a multinational environment.
- USGAAP reporting experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Advanced excel knowledge.
- Can adapt to a fast-paced organization.
- Not required but experience with Caseware / JD Edwards / Essbase would be advantageous.
