Osttra’s Financial Planning & Analysis team is looking for an early careers hire. This is an opportunity to gain exposure to the full range of finance activities, plus to learn about an important component of the financial services industry.The FP&A team consists of 4 finance business partners/analysts in London, with a management accounting team of 2 currently being established in our India office. Accounting records and finance processes are outsourced to our shareholders.
Osttra is the home of MarkitSERV, Traiana, TriOptima and Reset businesses that offer post trade
services to a community of 10k+ clients. Our company brings together people, processes, and
networks to solve the markets’ most challenging problems. Innovating, integrating, and optimising the post-trade workflow – we are positively shaping the way the community works forever.
There is significant change both within finance and the wider business following Osttra’s formation in September 2021 as we establish new cross-Osttra systems and processes. This role will suit someone who enjoys variety and is intellectually curious. While you will have some regular responsibilities, this role will have changing deliverables as we respond to the needs of the business and launch our own internal projects.
Key responsibilities include:
Support the finance business partners with a range of tasks:
Variance analysis – working out what has changed and why
Presentation packs – helping to tell the story behind the numbers
Report design – identifying what we want to explain and how to
Maintaining our personnel cube – data integrity and discretion is key, this is essential for our forecasting process
The role will change over time as experience and knowledge develop.
Skills And Requirements
Personable with good communication skills. We speak to a wide variety of stakeholders across all levels of seniority and numerous global locations
Numerate background. Experience of working with large data sets ideal e.g. as part of a STEM/humanities degree
An ability to work independently in completing assigned duties; managing competing priorities for multiple stakeholders
Strong organisational and time management skills
