We are looking for a Finance Manager to join the exciting Ocado Solutions Finance team on a permanent basis. Hybrid working with 2 days a week in the amazing Hatfield Head offices and 3 days working from home!

This is a highly visible role and required to support the growing Ocado Solutions business. Business partnering is key to the role as you will be working closely with the commercial teams who partner with our UK and International clients, various departments around Ocado and your finance colleagues.
The purpose of the role is to provide financial modelling, advice, support and challenge to the Ocado Solutions teams. It will encompass the development of business models, pricing and forecasts as well as the reporting of actual performance. It will also provide line management and development to 2 direct reports
What else will you be doing?
- Providing value adding financial insight, support and challenge to the Ocado Solutions Commercial team by building effective working relationships at all levels, including Senior Managers and with other departments in the business
- Ownership of the development of business case modelling for Ocado Solutions
- Ownership of reporting and forecasting for the Technology Solutions business: supporting the Solutions finance and commercial teams by developing our reporting and forecasting processes, ensuring consistency across teams and incorporating best practice reporting; your work will involve designing and pulling together packs for reviews with senior management as well as responsibility for the budget and forecast cycle
- Work closely and build an effective relationship with the commercial team to provide value adding insight and financial advice into management discussions
- Maintain and enhance financial controls ensuring accuracy and robustness of reporting and continue to develop reporting for the Solutions business
About you..
- Relevant successfully completed finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with several years experience working in a Finance based role
- Strong experience of financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting
- Experience of business partnering with senior stakeholders both within Finance and other functions (ideally supporting Commercial / Business Development teams)
- Experience of reporting period management accounts, analysis and commentary
- Strong skills in the use of Google Sheets / Excel and Google Slides / Powerpoint
- Candidates must be able to prioritise and have a flexible approach, responding to the changing nature of Ocado in a timely manner
- It would be an advantage but not essential to have System skills including mainstream accounting packages e.g. Oracle, Hyperion and be able to work in a matrix structure and fast paced technology / engineering environment
- You will be personable, flexible and hard working with the ability to be strong in their dealings with others. You will need to be able to challenge assumptions behind forecasts and budgets.
- Excellent time management skills, demonstrating high levels of accuracy, thoroughness and reliability whilst coping under pressure
- Excellent communication skills as the role requires interaction across all operational functions of the business, both financial and non-financial; and the presentation of financial and non-financial information to senior stakeholders
- Candidates must be logical, self-motivated, proactive, have an eye for detail, confident to challenge business partners and comfortable operating within an environment of substantial change
