We are looking for a highly motivated Finance Manager for the Meat, Fish, Poultry, Deli & Dairy (MFPDD) Commercial team. You'll help drive the P&L for this significant area of M&S (>£1.5bn revenue per year). This role is critical to the delivery of our revenue and profit targets through benefit analysis, challenge and insight.

What you'll be doing:
- Working closely with the Commercial teams to build and review Budgets and Forecasts. You'll understand the performance trends through weekly trade reviews and monthly performance analysis reviews and ensure there is robust Risk & Opportunities process with clear action plans manage or mitigate
- Identifying cost out opportunities in our products and support projects through thorough financial analysis and governance. Working with suppliers on commodity and open book models to ensure we are getting the best value
- Supporting development of robust processes around pricing governance. Including NPD, Tracking & influencing inflation impacts, ensuring we pay the right prices to our suppliers and identifying areas of opportunity in our pricing in store
- Supporting the governance of our supplier performance process within the cluster. Provide analysis to review key supplier performance and, working alongside the Commercial team, identify areas of Risk and Opportunity in these plans. Tracking and optimisation of supplier income and growth incentives.
- Working with the Shared Service Centre and Reporting & Analytics teams to continue to optimise our reporting capability and processes. Supporting delivery of significant improvements in Finance capability by participating in programmes and initiatives to build capability across the team
Skills you will need:
- Qualified Accountant – CIMA/ACCA/ACA/CA
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Strong commercial mind set
- Confident working in a fast paced environment, and can prioritise with ease
- Business partnering experience, who can communicate with impact to senior management, business partners and wider Finance teams
- Curious, hardworking and solution focussed
